How do I clear my internet cache to get rid of an error message?

June 4th, 2013 2 comments

Lately I have been trying to go to a forum, but I constantly get an error message that says, "You are not allowed to visit this forum." What’s worse is that no matter where I click on the site, I still get stuck on that page. After this I emailed the administrator of that site, and he told me that in order to fix it, all I have to do is clear my internet cache (cookies) through my browser tools. Where do I go to do this?

Go to the browser’s settings or options .. Head to the "Privacy" tab, then click clear history/cache/cookies .. If you’re using Mozilla just click Clear All Privacy Data … Hope this helps but you didnt specify your browser !

What is a good story collaboration software?

May 7th, 2013 1 comment

My friend and I want to collaborate on a story, and we were searching, anyone that knows a good software, or in browser, collab tool, please tell me!

use google docs, free with 5gb of free storage (plenty for a massive novel), support for all kinds of standard word editing features
only bad thing is a little bit of lag when many people are working on the same document, but with two people it shouldn’t be noticeable

docs.google.com

all you need is a free google/gmail account

Tool bar at the top of the page disappeared. How do I get it back?

April 22nd, 2013 2 comments

In my browser, the tool bar has disappeared. It comes back when I run my cursor to the very top of the page. However, I don’t want it this way – I want it back to normal. I guess I mistakenly hit a wrong button. How do I return it back to normal?

You have hit the F11 key, which sends it into full screen view. Just press the F11 key again to return it to normal view

How come when I do disk cleanup it always says 165mb?

April 21st, 2013 4 comments

Everytime I run disk cleanup on my machine, even if it’s just moments apart and I haven’t run any programs or used the internet, there is always 165MB of "temporary files" that won’t delete? I tried using all of the browser tools, all of the run commands, and it’s still there…

Try ccleaner. Available legal and free from http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
It is really easy to use, and you can even clean your registry and temp. files and recycle bin very easily.

how can i test for mac browser compatibility if i don’t have a mac?

April 19th, 2013 5 comments

I need to test sites for mac compatibility, particularly on Safari, but do not have access to a mac. Does anybody know of a free browser compatibility tool, or another solution?

Safari is now available for Windows. if the page renders properly in that, it should be ok on the Mac side.

how do i get my internet browsers back forward and stop featues back , i accidentally pressed something.?

April 18th, 2013 1 comment

I accidentally pressed something and now my internet browser tool bar is missing the stop back and forward features.

Right click anywhere on the top of your browser.. right over your Address Bar.

There should be an option entitled "Customize" or something similar. In there you will find the buttons. Just drag and drop them where you want them.

Why do many people have the false belief that if anything is downloaded for free it has a virus?

April 15th, 2013 3 comments

Many browser tool bars are free, Windows updates are free, many free downloads are free. If so many things were full of viruses, then we could not use peer to peer, Yahoo Mail, Windows Updates, Google Search, various home pages. Maybe things were worse before, but many browser tool bars have pop-up blockers, anti-spy, etc. Even some of the free anti-virus programs detect viruses that ones we have to pay for don’t. Sure there are evil people who are up to no good. But, not everything for free contains a virus. Darn it!

your right, and the only thing that you can do is try to educate the people and tell them whats up.

·You might have a corrupt file in your Yahoo! Messenger directory.

To fix the problem, you must manually delete the "Messenger" directory on your C: drive (default), then reinstall the Yahoo! Messenger application.

All archives will be deleted if they are not copied. If you have a Flash drive copy it. If none, copy them like this:

CLOSE Yahoo! Messenger (if it is currently running).

Go to your Desktop and double-click "My Computer."

Select the "C:" drive.

Go to: C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles

Your "Profiles" folder contains your complete Message Archive. Copy it to the a different folder on your computer and RENAME IT AND save..

Now you can DELETE the Yahoo Messenger by deleting the directory:

CLOSE the Yahoo! Messenger application if you currently have it running. Make sure all instances of Internet Explorer are CLOSED.

Go to your desktop and double-click "My Computer."

Click the "C:" drive.

Go to C:\Program Files\Yahoo!

Highlight the Yahoo! Messenger folder and press the Delete key on your keyboard.

DEFRAG your computer files to remove those empty spaces resulting from the deletion.

TO INSTALL:

CLOSE all running applications EXCEPT for your Internet browser.

DISABLE YOUR ANTI VIRUS/ANTI SPY PROGRAM/S. Most times they interfere in the downloading/installation process.

Click the link below to download Yahoo Messenger

http://messenger.yahoo.com/webmessengerp…

Click the "Download Now" button.

Double-click the Yahoo Messenger executable once the download completes to begin the installation process.

COPY MESSAGE ARCHIVE

Go to your Desktop and double-click "My Computer."

Select the "C:" drive.

Go to: C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles

Drag/drop the copy of your Message Archive to the NEW Yahoo Messenger folder\Yahoo\Messenger\Profiles.

ENABLE YOUR ANTI VIRUS/ANTI SPY PROGRAM/S

How do you put the latest flash player on a psp version 4.05?

April 10th, 2013 3 comments

I have a psp slim so i can`t go to settings-enable flash player and getting it by the internet browser (tools-settings-view settings-flash&javascript on) only gets me flash player 6.If you can`t help me with this, then please tell me how to get PSPtube on my psp version 4.05.

1. You can not use the PSP browser or the PSP Flash Player to watch youtube videos online.

2. If you want to get into homebrew/CFW you can try PSPTube.

3. You can convert Youtube Videos to MP4s using sites like vixy.net with your PSP or PC. Or you can get PC software converters.

4. The Flash Player for the PSP is fairly limited. If you want some Flash games try http://www.psponme.com

5. For direct video downloads to your PSP check out http://www.pspube.com
